Brake fluids

In the brake system you’ll find fluids that flow from through the system in order to create the pressure the car needs to stop. Make sure you have enough fluid and that there aren’t any leaks.

Brake hoses

The brake hoses are what transfer the brake fluid from the engine to the wheels to apply the pressure. If you have leak it cause the brake to be faulty. It can lead to a malfunctioning brake system.

Brake calipers and rotors

When the brake fluid is transferred from the engine to the wheel through the brake hoses it powers up the calipers and press against the rotors to apply force on the brake pad to stop the car. You’ll typically find 2 to 4 calipers in the car, without caliper the pressure won’t be applied properly. Our auto service techs can check if they’re worn and if they need to be replaced.

Brake pads

Brake pads are right on your wheel and it’s the final step at applying pressure on to the discs on the wheels.  The Charlotte Toyota Service technician can inspect them at any time to check for wear and tear. If you hear screeching when you step on the brake it may be worn out.
