GASTONIA, NC — Police are still investigating after a person was killed in a moped accident Friday night.
Police say 52-year-old Glenn Burney was riding his 2009 Honda moped down East Davidson Avenue around 8:43pm Friday when he lost control. Burney ran off the right side of the road and was thrown into a concrete wall.
Officials say Burney was wearing a helmet, but died on the scene from his injuries.
Investigators are still trying to determine what may have led to the accident.
