CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Firefighters responded to a fire a paper company in north Charlotte.
Officials say recycling materials caught fire behind International Paper Company on 28th Street near North Tryon Street just after 1pm.
There is a lot of smoke visible in the area. Crews have 28th Street shut down at this time. Norris Avenue to West 30th Street can be used as an alternate route.
There is no word on what caused the fire at this time. No injuries have been reported. We have a crew at the scene. Check back for updates.
