Rock Hill Families ‘Light It Up Blue’ For Autism Awareness

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Businesses and residences in Rock Hill took part in ‘Light It Up Blue’ for Autism Awareness Day.

Iconic landmarks, businesses, and homes united on April 2nd by shining blue lights in honor of those affected by autism. The campaign was a way to bring attention to the needs of those with autism.

Many residences and businesses are continuing to shine a light on autism for Autism Awareness Month. Chrysalis Autism Center and families have been busy coordinating events throughout the month of April.

The Autism Awareness Family Fun Festival will take place on April 9th at the Rock Hill School District Three Stadium from 1pm to 4pm. Parents of children with autism will speak prior to a balloon release to honor those in the community with autism.

The third annual ‘Bite It Up Blue’ breakfast is scheduled to take place on April 16th at Grace Lutheran Church from 8:30am to 11am. The event will include food, games, and prizes.
