Concord Mills Unveils Plans for Dramatic Transformation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Simon Property Group announced Wednesday that it will implement a dramatic interior makeover to Concord Mills mall.

Plans include a redesigned and updated Dining Pavilion, four new lounge areas with soft seating and enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity and chargers improved lighting throughout the building, and additional skylights.

The renovation news comes after the recently announced dining additions including Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse, and Chipotle.

“Concord Mills’ renovation is a highly-anticipated project for the community and further reflects Simon’s investment in the Charlotte market,” said Ray Soporowski, general manager for Concord Mills. “Our goal is to continuously evolve the shopping experience for our local shoppers, as well as the thousands of people who visit us from outside Charlotte each week.”

Renovation is scheduled to begin in May and be completed by 2017.
