Iredell County, NC — Deputies say a man was shot by his father during a disturbance at a home in Iredell County.
According to the press release, Timothy Krieger was shot at a home on Fletcher Road in Union Grove Friday evening. Investigators say Krieger was shot during a struggle with his father over a firearm.
Krieger fled from the residence to an outbuilding where he then fired two additional shots, according to deputies.
Officials alerted residents of the incident and asked for people to be on the lookout for Krieger. Deputies received calls from citizens who located Krieger on Wilkesboro Highway in an outbuilding. Krieger was found inside the outbuilding using a weed eater he found.
Krieger was taken into custody and then transported by Iredell County EMS to receive medical attention. Once Krieger is released from the hospital he will be charged with: robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by felon, simple assault, felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
No charges have been filed against Krieger’s father at this time.
