CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte teacher has been arrested and charged with sexual offenses for incidents with two students.
Following a voluntary interview at police headquarters, 35-year-old Jarrett Murgolo was arrested and charged with two counts of Indecent Liberties with a Student and one count of Sexual Activity with a Student.
Police received information and launched an investigation on April 19th, 2016. Authorities spoke with two female students from Countryside Montessori who stated that they were seniors during the 2012-2013 school year, and were sexually assaulted by Mr. Murgolo.
According to the schools website, Murgolo is the supervising lead teacher for the Secondary Program at the Mallard Creek campus.
The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it is obtained.
