CRAMERTON, NC — Police are still trying to figure out why a man was on the tracks Monday night when a train hit and killed him.
Cramerton police say they were contacted by Norfolk-Southern Railway around 8pm Monday after one of their trains had reported hitting a pedestrian.
Officials say the accident happened just south of Market Street in Cramerton.
The victim, 23-year-old Oscar Aleman, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators say they are still trying to figure out why Aleman was on the tracks when the accident occurred.
