CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation after a 19-year-old died after being stabbed in northwest Charlotte early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the stabbing in the 1400 block of Quail Street around 1:45 a.m.
19-year-old Skyler Riker was transported to CaroMont Regional Hospital in Mount Holly where he was later pronounced deceased.
Police say this was not a random act of violence.
