Charlotte, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting that happened in Northwest Charlotte early Saturday morning.
Nmateen Doe was killed around 4:30 a.m. in the 4800 block of Magnasco Lane.
CMPD says they found Doe lying in a yard beside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Doe was pronounced dead on scene by Medic.
CMPD says this was not a random act of violence.
Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team, Homicide Support Group, CD-CP and the Real Time Crime are still investigating.
Detectives with the Homicide/ADW Unit are searching the area for witnesses.
