Charlotte National Fire Prevention Week Kick-Off

CHALOTTE , N.C – The Charlotte Fire Department is kicking off fire prevention week with Nascar driver Joey Gase.

Fire prevention week is celebrated throughout the US every October.  Fire officials wants to make sure that your family is prepared in the event you come face to face with a fire.

Officials say most fires in the Charlotte Mecklenburg area start from someone not paying attention.
