Police Looking For Parents Of 2 Children Abandoned Near CMPD Offices

Police have released new information on how the two abandoned children were found Thursday.
Police say the four-month-old boy was found sometime after 2am Thursday when a caller reported a crying baby outside of the CMPD Westover Division Office on West Boulevard. He was in a car seat when officers found him.
The only thing police say about the two-year-old girl is that she was abandoned around 9:30pm Thursday at a bus stop on East Trade Street.

Police say they have identified the children left at two different CMPD offices Thursday, but have not said whether they are related.
They have both been placed in foster care. The investigation is ongoing.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are trying to find the parents or guardians of two small children that were left near CMPD offices Thursday.
Police say the two children were abandoned Thursday near two separate CMPD offices. Both of the children were taken to CMC to be checked out and found to be in good health.
One is a black female around two-years-old, and the other a black male around four-months-old.
The Department of Social Services has been called in to help find a home for the children.
