CHARLOTTE, NC — Drivers traveling south on I-77 in Mooresville this morning should prepare for heavy delays while crews work to clear an earlier accident.
Traffic officials say the right lane of I-77 south near exit 34 is blocked this morning causing around 5 miles of backups.
An 18-wheeler ran off the road around 3:20am Wednesday just south of Brawley School Road. Recovery crews trying to pull the truck out have the right lane blocked.
You can get off at exit 42 and take US 21 back to I-77 as an alternate.
