MONROE, NC — Police are investigating a bomb threat at the First Care Medical Clinic in Monroe.
The threat came into the First Care Medical Clinic call center in Indian Trail around 11:25am Thursday.
An unknown man called the call center, which does not see patients, and said a bomb would be going off soon. The worker then reported the threat to Union County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Police say the facility has been safely evacuated and they are searching the area. So far nothing has been found.
Officials say twoΒ Charlotte clinics were checked as a precaution in connection with the bomb threat.Β Officers searched the clinics atΒ 9040 Nations Ford Road and 2938 The Plaza but did not find any explosives.
