American Airlines Investigating Long Wait Times

CHARLOTTE, NC– American Airlines is boosting its efforts to cut down on security delays. The company is spending 4-million-dollars to hire more contractors to help the TSA.

It will also start heavily promoting TSA pre check.

This comes after huge lines at some of the busiest U.S. airports, including here at Charlotte Douglas. But passengers who talked to us tonight say they didn’t run into any problems.

“It’s been pretty smooth to be honest with you. Pretty thorough. Obviously travelling is different from way back when but it’s to be expected.” said passenger Cathy Schlosser.

American Airlines says tens of thousands of fliers across the nation have missed their flights and been stuck in delays because of TSA security checks.
