Crews have cleared the accident and have reopened the area.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — An accident involving an 18-wheeler has closed off a portion of Huntersville-Concord Road.
The accident happened early Tuesday morning on Huntersville-Concord Road east of Asbury Chapel Road when a car ran into the back of the tractor trailer.
Crews are on scene. Drivers should avoid the area due to the closure.
Officials say the road could be closed for some time while crews work to clear the accident.
