It will be sunny and dry today with highs warming up to the mid-70s. The western NC wildfires will remain a concern as winds pick up across the region Tuesday. Currently, Gaston, Burke, and Cleveland Counties are under the 14-county burn ban and all are advised against any burning in the coming days. Temps will warm to near 80 by mid-week. A cold front will bring our best chance of rain for the week by Friday. Temps will cool significantly this weekend with highs only reaching the upper 50s to lower 60s by Saturday and Sunday.
