One Dead, Two Injured In Homicide Near Uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A homicide investigation is underway near Uptown after an overnight shooting that left one dead and two others injured, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 12th, officers responded to Seigle Avenue after receiving calls of an assault with a deadly weapon.

When police arrived, they located three victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel transported one male victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The two other victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Information on the victims have not been released yet. No arrests have been made at this time.
