Trump Defends Veterans Donations
Donald Trump is lashing out at the media for trying to account for millions of dollars he claimed to raise for veterans’ groups.
The 5.6 million dollars came from an event Trump hosted in January. He listed 41 groups he says got the money.
About a dozen say they just got the checks.
Trump: ” I ‘m not looking for credit, but what I don’t want is when I raise millions of dollars have people say – like this sleazy guy right over here from ABC. He’s a sleaze in my book.” Reporter: “Why am I a sleaze?” Trump: “You’re a sleaze. Because you know the facts and you know the facts well.”
Critics say Trump sent the money only after pressure from the public and the media.
