Start of Atlantic Hurricane Season, and Weird Hurricane Names
The 2016 Atlantic hurricane season officially starts today.
CHARLOTTE, NC– The 2016 Atlantic hurricane season officially starts today. The NOAA predicts there is a 70% chance we will see 10 to 16 named storms this year, including hurricane Alex which formed in January, and tropical storm Bonnie which caused flooding near the coast. The 2016 Atlantic hurricane season runs through November 30th.
