Cool & Cloudy Heart of Holiday Weekend

A passing cold front won't bring much in terms of rain, but it will bring plenty of cold air for the weekend.

Happy Black Friday! Mother Nature is shopping for clouds in bulk across the Carolinas into the heart of the holiday weekend. Despite the gray skies ahead of an incoming cold front, rain chances remain minimal over the next 48 hours; we may even see some sunshine during the afternoon today. While the approaching system won’t muster up much more than a stray shower, it will make up for its lack of moisture with a plethora of cooler air. Highs will struggle to get out of the 30s and 40s across the board on Saturday and Sunday. Mostly sunny skies return before a separate rainmaking system arrives by the end of the weekend, but models aren’t too keen on widespread shower coverage.

The final few days of November appear to be sunny, dry, and cool. Most communities will see a string of hard freezes starting Tuesday morning. Rain chances will remain at bay through the end of the month.
