LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — On May 31, 2016, Sheriff deputies in Lincoln County met with the owner of a mobile home in the 500 block of Amity Lane about a break-in that occurred back on April 27th.
The perpetrator managed to steal several electronic items from the mobile home in question.
21-year-old Matthew Hartley was suspected of being behind the break-in and, due to a probation and parole ankle monitor he on, deputies were able to place him as the perpetrator. Hartley’s monitor placed him at the residence on the exact day of the robbery.
On June 1st, Hartley was charged with felony counts of Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, and Possession of Stolen Goods. Currently, Hartley is facing a bond of $65,000 for his crimes.
