ALBEMARLE, N.C. β A 28-year-old man from Albemarle was arrested and charged with identity theft after attempting to acquire insurance with another manβs information, according to the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
NCDOI special agents accuse Deandre Niko Holmes of allegedly using another manβs social security card and driverβs license to acquire rentersβ insurance with State Farm Fire and Casualty Company. The crime was committed on March 13th.
Police arrested Holmes on November 7th with a $2,000 secured bond.
Holmes is charged with two felony counts of identity theft and obtaining property by false pretense.
