GoFundMe Started For Statesville Couple Awakened By House Fire
STATESVILLE, N.C. β A GofundMe has been created for Statesville couple, Allie June, and Layne Reavis, after they woke up to dense smoke from a house fire, according to a Gofundme report.
The couple state they were sleeping when they were awakened by the smoke and had to jump from the window to escape the home. According the GoFunMe the two only suffered minor injuries.
“Everything they own is gone. EVERYTHING.” said, Layne’s mother, Leslie Reavis. “From their home to the simple everyday items such as clothes, shoes, and toiletries to sentimental personal belongings that can never be replaced, like baby books, family heirlooms, and special keepsakes as well as any valuable items they had in the home,” the fundraiser reads.
Leslie, asking the community to make donations to help provide a little Christmas cheer to the family.
