Wilkes County Man Sentenced For Child Pornography

A Wilkes County man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges of possession and production of child pornography.

Tony Luke Brewer, a 25-year-old of Hays, North Carolina, was a member of multiple websites in which he and others posted thousands of messages and images of pre-pubescent children, according to filed documents and statements made in court. Records show that on one website, Brewer’s profile stated that he is “a young pedo” who “loves meeting new pedos.”

Tony Brewer-FederalAccording to court records, in September 2014 the FBI searched Brewer’s residence and seized his laptops and other storage media. A forensic examination of these items revealed that Brewer possessed thousands of images and videos of child pornography including material of children engaging in violent conduct. Brewer also allegedly engaged in online chats with minors from other states with which he convinced to appear in sexually explicit conduct while he captured and saved on his computer.

Brewer has been sentenced 20 years in prison, without possibility of parole, and he must register as a sex offender upon release from prison. He is currently in custody and will be transferred to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons after receiving designation of a federal facility.
