The scene on I-485 has now cleared and all lanes have reopened. Still expect delays in the area as traffic starts to get back to normal flow.

Police say all lanes on the I-485 inner loop and two lanes on the outer loop have reopened.
NCSHP is on the scene as well and have taken over the investigation.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police say the outer loop of I-485 is closed near Arrowood Road after a tractor trailer caught fire.
Officials with CMPD say a tractor trailer carrying gasoline caught fire Monday morning on I-485. Charlotte Fire Department and CMPD responded to the incident.
Charlotte Fire has the fire under control, and no injuries were reported.
The outer loop of I-485 was closed down near Arrowood Road causing heavy backups and delays for drivers.
Officials say the inner loop has been reopened to get traffic moving and some of the outer loop lanes should be reopening soon.
No word yet on what caused the tanker to catch fire.
