Lincolnton Police Searching For Vehicle After Hit And Run
LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Officers with the Lincolnton Police Department are searching for a suspect after a hit and run accident involving a tricycle December 19th.
Officers responded to a call on East Main Street at 7:20 a.m., upon arrival the victim stated he did not know the suspect but believed he may be from out of town and may have been in the area of North Poplar Street or near Lincolnton High School on prior occasions.
No injuries from the victim have been reported.
The suspect vehicle is described as a 90’s to early 2000’s two-tone white and camouflage pattern. The hood of the car also displays a green racing stripe and a bicycle attached to the back obscuring the license plate.
The vicitim stated, after being struck, the suspect vehicle then left the scene at a high rate of speed toward the courthouse, west on Sycamore Street to the back of the library, and continued westbound toward North Grove Street.
