More changes are on the way for Christmas and the New Year

A subtropical upper-level ridge pushed across the central and eastern portions of the country over the last several days, which built temperatures into the above-average range by Christmas.

The incoming storm from the Gulf Of Mexico should also sweep up some moisture, which will bump up rain chances into Christmas. Cold air lurks behind the system, setting us up for a chilly final few days of 2023. Snow-lovers will want to watch the first week of the new year closely!
