CATS Shares Update Regarding Weekly Passes Between Dec. 6 and Jan. 1

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CATS has an important update regarding the use of weekly passes for the period of Dec. 31, 2023 to Jan. 6, 2024. Due to a technical issue with the encoding of these passes, we’re implementing a temporary change in how they will be used.

What You Need to Know:

  • Do not insert passes into fareboxes: During this week, please do not place your weekly passes inside the fareboxes.
  • Show your pass: Simply present your pass to the bus operators or fare inspectors when boarding.

Alternatively, you can purchase and use your weekly pass via the CATS-Pass app. This is a convenient and efficient option. For more information on the CATS-Pass app, visit https://www.charlottenc.gov/CATS/Bus/Mobile-Apps.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we work diligently to resolve this issue. Our commitment is to ensure a seamless and pleasant journey for all our passengers during this period.

Thank you for choosing to travel with us. We’re here to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
