Temperatures take a tumble as we head into the final days of 2023.
The rain moves out and Mostly cloudy skies prevail. Warmer than normal temperatures will play a role in our overnight forecast and on Wednesday too.
Abundant sunshine returns on Thursday, but don’t expect the warmer temperatures to last. Highs will reach the mid-to-upper 50s Thursday afternoon before crashing into the 20s and 30s as we wake up on Friday. An upper-level low reaches the Carolinas within this timeframe; a few stray rain/sleet showers are possible as we start the final day of the holiday-shortened workweek. The final weekend of 2023 is trending cold, but largely dry; a few rain or snow showers are possible as we head into 2024.
