County Commissioners Vote To Look Into Second Ward Development
CHARLOTTE, NC– Mecklenburg County Commissioners voted to begin negotiations with a developer for the Brooklyn Village in the Second Ward.
BK Partners will handle the nearly 700 Milliondollar project, which includes shops, offices, a hotel, and apartments. Commissioners also toured Pearl Street Park, where they talked about future plans to upgrade, build a parking deck, and a street.
“The real facts are this park is getting bigger, and better. It’s going to have lights. It’s going to have new equipment that everyone wants. It’s going to have new features that every urban park needs.” said the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association President, Maren Brisson-Kuestr.
Commissioners also heard from different developers about the Pearl Street Park.
