House Democrats Stand Down After 25 Hour Sit In
WASHINGTON, D.C.– House Democrats are standing down after their nearly 25 hour long sit in. They were led by civil rights icon John Lewis, demanding a vote on gun legislation in the wake of the orlando terror attack.
Angry Democrats waved pieces of paper with the names of gun victims, and chanted ‘no bill, no break’ over House Speaker Paul Ryan.
Local congresswoman Alma Adams was also in Washington for the sit in.
