MORANTON, N.C — A Charlotte man’s body was found in Morganton over the weekend and authorities are investigating the cause of his death.
On sunday, June 26th, the Burke County Sheriff’s office was called in regards to a body found on Crescent Woods Road near Lake James.
Deputies arrived on the scene and, after a death investigation, identified the victim as 27-year-old Demetrius Marcellus Chisolm of Charlotte.
The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation and more information will be released following further investigation and an autopsy.
