Local Veteran Given Home

CHARLOTTE, NC– A local veteran is officially a homeowner tonight thanks to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Housing Partnership. CMPD teamed up with Veterans Path Up to give Willie Davis a newly renovated home on Norris Avenue.

Davis says he’s looking forward to moving into a place that he can call his own.

“I get the keys to the house. It becomes my responsibility to keep it looking good, looking neat. Keep the yard cut. I like working in the yard.” said Davis.

Davis is an honorably discharged army veteran who served in Vietnam. He has lived in Charlotte for more than 30 years.
