BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Police Department say they have arrested Clarence Gagliardi and Alisha Crawford as suspects for a shooting that occurred on December 30, 2023.

According to a press release, police officers were dispatched to the Heritage Inn on Wilkinson Blvd due to a shooting. The officers claim they found a man with several gunshot wounds and, after further investigation, deemed the suspect and his girlfriend fled the scene after the altercation with the victim.
The release states that the event most likely occurred due to an argument between victim and the suspect. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds according to police.
Belmont Police charged Gagliardi with three counts of attempted first degree murder, discharge firearm occupied property, damage to property and driving while license revoked. Crawford is being charged with three county of accessory after the fact.
