More Wet Weather On The Way With Colder Temperatures

Colder weather will stick around and more rain on the way.

Wet weather will graze our area tonight but the serious rain will be here Saturday

There is a small chance a few sleet pellets may mix in with isolated rain showers tonight.

An area of Low Pressure will slip by to our South overnight.  A few isolated showers will clip the southern portions of the WCCB Charlotte viewing area this evening and tonight. Don’t be shocked if a few sleet pellets mix in with the rain as the moisture exits to the east overnight; impacts will be minimal. The remainder of the workweek looks cold and dry as highs struggle to get out of the 30s and 40s.

The best chance of heavy rain will be here Friday night and Saturday. Marginally cold air will be in place ahead of this system, which may lead to a very wet wintry mix in the Piedmont and Foothills Saturday morning before transitioning to all rain by the afternoon. The High Country will likely see a more icy wintry mix in the morning before transitioning to rain and snow in the latter portions of the day. Accumulations outside of the mountains appear negligible right now. We’ll dry out by the second half of the weekend into the start of the workweek, but another powerful disturbance may cause more issues on Tuesday.
