Controversy Over Gov. Haley’s Decision To Fly Coastal Carolina Flag Over Statehouse

The Governor of South Carolina is accused of breaking the law by flying a Coastal Carolina flag over the Statehouse last week. Nikki Haley, showing support for the school’s baseball world series win.

Tonight a grassroots group is considering filing a formal complaint.

The South Carolina Secessionist Party points to the same 2000 law that Haley used to keep the Confederate flag off the Statehouse dome. It says only the U.S. and State flag can fly there and it gives no exceptions.
