Flights From Charlotte To Cuba May Soon Be A Reality

CHARLOTTE, NC– You could soon catch a non stop flight from Charlotte to Havanna. The Queen City is one of 10 selected by the U.S. Government for service to Cuba.

The move is the latest step in the ongoing efforts to normalize relations with the country. American airlines expects the flights to go on sale next month, after the DOT finalizes its decision.

“We truly believe that that the future is bright for charlotte and the new international service is great for the region and the airport,” says Charlotte-Douglas Airport Aviation Director Brent Cage.

Other cities include with service to Cuba include New York, Miami and Atlanta.
