Police Ask for Help In West Charlotte Murder Case

CHARLOTTE, NC–Police are looking for the person who murdered a woman whose body was found near West Charlotte High School.

Officers found Shannon Littlejohn dead in the grass at West Charlotte Neighborhood Park around 8 this morning.  Friends say Littlejohn grew up near the park and they were shocked to learn about her death.

“We’re all a family, that’s all we know and we’ve known shannon since she was born.. This is like a hurtin’ situation,” said friend of the victim, Tonya Stevenson.
