4 Arrested in Monroe Motel Deadly Shooting
MONROE, N.C. — Police have arrested four people in connection to a deadly shooting at a Monroe motel.
On Tuesday,Β officers responded to Relax Inn onΒ Roosevelt BoulevardΒ in reference to a shooting. Danny McGriff, Jr., 39,Β was found dead on the walkway from an apparent gunshot wound to theΒ chest.
On Thursday, police arrested Jarvis Miller, 27,Β Robert Hood, 27, Charles Hunt, 21, andΒ Demetress Bennett, 23. They wereΒ charged with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracyΒ to commit robbery. Miller was also charged with possession of a firearm by felon.
Monroe Police Chief Bryan Gilliard said βI appreciate all of the hard work of theΒ detectives and the assisting agencies working around the clock to solve this case.β
