Detectives Seeking Assistance Locating Armed Robbery Suspect

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Detectives are asking for help finding a suspect wanted for armed robbery.

Police say that at 12:46 a.m. on Saturday, July 30th, 2016, a man went in to the Kangaroo Express at 10000 N. Tryon Street and assaulted an employee.  The man suggested he had a weapon and took money from the employee.

The suspect fled the scene in a white Mercury with a blue top, and a basket hitch attached to the rear of the vehicle.

The perpetrator is described as a black male, approximately 50-60 years of age, wearing a teal blue shirt and black shorts.
