CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person died in a fatal car crash on Brookshire Boulevard in west Charlotte on Wednesday night.
The crash occurred on Brookshire Boulevard near Interstate 85 at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10th. Police responded to the scene and found two wrecked vehicles in the roadway.
Police say a 2008 Infiniti EX35 was traveling southeast on Brookshire Boulevard at a high rate of speed. The driver allegedly rear-ended the right side of a 2005 GMC C5500 Flatbed Wrecker truck.
The Infiniti driver, identified as 33-year-old Samantha Lasha Brayboy, was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.
Donnell Eugene A. McCorbin-Stradford, the GMC driver, didn’t sustain any injuries in the crash.
This crash remains an active investigation.
