Trump Ladies Campaign In Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, NC– “I think he is the only person who can lead our country out of the mess we’re in now,” said Mooresville resident Margaret Mayfield.

Hundreds of North Carolina Republican women gathered at Trump National Golf Club in Mooresville to meet and hear from the ladies on Trump’s campaign. Including his daughter in law Lara, who’s from North Carolina and went to NC State.

We spoke one on one with her.

“I think there’s some misconception that he doesn’t treat women equally or doesn’t think women equal to men. That is ridiculous. He is actually one of the first people in big business to promote women to executive positions,” said Lara Trump.

Lara who is married to Trump’s son Eric, defends her father in law’s bold statements and says it sets him apart.

“He is a real person and he says sometimes what’s on his mind and people may find that shocking to some degree I find it refreshing,” said Lara.

Also on his campaign, Omarosa Manigault, who appeared on The Apprentice and now is the campaign’s Director of African American outreach.

“We have to talk about illegal immigration and legal immigration. We have to talk about what’s happening between the police and community that doesn’t make you a racist,” said Manigault.

Omarosa fires back at those who criticize her role in the Trump campaign.

“Before I went on the apprentice I served in the white house I served on capital hill I was a political fundraiser I have three degrees I’m a very educated person,” said manigault.
