CMS Holds Meetings With Parents Over Student Assignment
CHARLOTTE, NC– CMS parents had a chance tonight to help shape the district’s controversial student assignment plan.
They want input on the first phase of the plan, which would give students better access to magnet schools.
“I think its a smart idea, because it will create diversity. But I also think it will bring people from different areas together,” said parent Alex Watts.
Monday’s meeting at Mallard Creek High School was the first of 12 meetings. The next two will be Wednesday at Hopewell and South Mecklenburg High Schools.
