Person Killed In Weddington Fire Identified

UNION COUNTY, NC– Tonight we know that the person found inside a burning home in Weddington was a former Union County Assistant District Attorney.

Firefighters found Anne Reeves’ body inside a truck parked in the home’s basement garage.

Reeves’ husband and children were not home when the fire started.

Tonight federal and state investigators are looking into how she died and what started the fire.

We’ve also learned that deputies were called to the house in june for an overdose, and that Anne Reeves was listed as the victim.
