Grier Heights Hosts Postponed National Night Out

CHARLOTTE, NC– Rain washed away National Night Out for one Charlotte neighborhood last week, but CMPD and community leaders made sure Grier Heights got their moment in the sun.

The event was back on this evening, with all the fun and games back out for the kids at Grier Park Apartments. It’s a great chance for the community to strengthen bonds with the officers who serve them.

“Our police officers attend every event in this community. So we have this great relationship with them, and we’re not ashamed of it,” said Gloria Green.

More than 70 neighborhoods in Mecklenburg County hosted National Night Out events this year.
