LENOIR, NC — A woman is accused of embezzling $100 thousand from a cemetery in Lenoir. Β Police arrested Sherry Nichols Thursday. Β She worked for the city as a customer service rep at Blue Ridge Cemetery on Wilkesboro Boulevard. Β Police received a tip in March that Nichols was taking money from sales made at the cemetery. Β All purchases of lots are accounted for.
