LENOIR, NC — A woman is accused of embezzling $100 thousand from a cemetery in Lenoir. Police arrested Sherry Nichols Thursday. She worked for the city as a customer service rep at Blue Ridge Cemetery on Wilkesboro Boulevard. Police received a tip in March that Nichols was taking money from sales made at the cemetery. All purchases of lots are accounted for.
