Suspects Steal Multiple Lawn Mowers From Statesville Business, Deputies Say

STATESVILLE, NC — Deputies need your help finding the suspects they say stole several lawn mowers from Progressive Power Equipment over the weekend.

The robbery happened at the store located at 5233 Wilkesboro Highway in Statesville. Investigators say the suspects scouted the location around 11pm Saturday and then came back just before 2am on Sunday.

Surveillance photos showed two suspects. Both were white males. One was wearing a black wig and gloves, while the other was wearing a hunting hood with gloves.

The suspect’s vehicles are described as a newer model, gold or champagne colored, Dodge Ram quad cab (2500 or bigger) with running boards and fog lights. A second truck was also involved but investigators could not give a description. The Dodge was pulling a black enclosed trailer and the unknown truck was pulling an open trailer when they returned to steal the lawn mowers.

Officials say the suspects were seen leaving the business heading north on Highway 115 towards Wilkes County.
