YORK, SC — Police say one person was killed, another critically injured after they were shot at a home on Mighty Joe Trail.
Officers were called around 4:15 p.m. after someone called about shots being fired in the Green Acres subdivision in York. While they were on their way, they spotted the suspect vehicle fleeing the area on Singletary Lane. Officers stopped and detained the driver.
Other officers continued on to Mighty Joe Trail where they found a deceased person shot and killed in the yard. A second person with a gunshot wound was found inside the home. That person was flown by helicopter to the hospital.
